Police led Project Booyah South Brisbane is a mentor lead program which started in 2019 working with at risk youth and is based out of Tudor Park PCYC, Loganholme. We support at risk youth who are disengaged from school or home life, starting to associate with negative peers and committing low level crime.
We currently provide a structured 20 week program encompassing a range of training and learning, social development skills with our RESPECT program, mentoring and have the opportunity to gain a Certificate I in Hospitality or Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways.
Our South Brisbane team work alongside many amazing local businesses such as Traction (Bike building/ work place skills program), Mount Gravett PCYC, Boxing Beyond Barriers and our very own Adventure Base Learning Instructor (Ross Mclvor). Our young people learn Adventure Base Learning skills by attending camps and participate in recreational activities such as kayaking, high ropes, abseiling and fitness classes.
If you would like to refer a young person to the program in South Brisbane and surrounding areas, or want any more information at a local level, please click on the “REFER NOW” link on this website, and one of our Project Booyah co-ordinators will contact you. Thank you.
