Project Booyah Cairns is a local Police led mentorship program working with at risk youth in Cairns. We support at risk youth who are disengaged from school or home life, starting to associate with negative peers and committing low level crime.
We currently provide a structured 20 week program encompassing a range of training and learning, social development skills with our RESPECT program, mentoring and have the opportunity to gain a Certificate I in Hospitality and a Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways.
Our Cairns team work alongside with the support of many wonderful businesses such as Cairns ZOOM, Fitness 360 and Northern Outlook where the girls learn Adventure Base Learning skills by attending camps and having fun with recreational activities such as kayaking, high ropes and fitness classes.
If you would like to refer a young person to the program in Cairns and surrounding areas, or want any more information at a local level, please click on the “REFER NOW” link on this website, and one of our Project Booyah co-ordinators will contact you. Thank you.
